Alonga is a family business founded on a passion to encourage people to explore their health and wellbeing.
It all started with our enthusiasm for living a vibrant life and taking care of ourselves. When the pandemic turned everything upside down, we saw the struggle everyone was having with the new situation, including ourselves. Again, we started working on ourselves to adapt in the best possible way. But this time we wanted to share our experiences and support everyone around us. We realized the importance of having a healthy body and mind to face daily challenges. With these thoughts in mind, we immediately started taking action.
It's not just about eating healthier and exercising. It's about all the little daily habits that make up our overall health and well-being. "Alonga - Health & Well-Being" was founded to support you in the best possible way.
For many years we have been travelling to India every 2-3 years for a Panchakarma treatment. We discovered Dr. Sundara Raman's Mountain Top Clinic and have been his patients ever since.
Are you looking for the complete Panchakarma experience with an Ayurvedic doctor in India? We always have a few spots available for interested people.

FAQs
Our spice blends combine traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with select organic spices and unique flavor combinations. The spices are gently roasted and processed to best preserve their natural aromas and essential oils.
Our blends are designed to be easily and effortlessly integrated into your daily cooking – whether you are cooking, baking, refining, or putting the finishing touches on your favorite dishes:
- For hot meals (Rasa Masala, Lavana, Vyosha, Chanda): Add a pinch of these savory blends directly when sautéing or cooking oven vegetables, curries, lentil dishes, soups, stews, or rice. The heat allows the essential oils to unfold their full intensity.
- For salads & light summer dishes (Lavana, Rasa Masala, Vyosha, Chanda): Bring freshness and spice to your summer! Refine salad dressings, vinaigrettes, bowls, grilled vegetables, summer vegetable stir-fries, or cool dips and spreads with our fine blends.
- For breakfast & sweet dishes (Madhura, Tola): Enhance your morning porridge, muesli, pancakes, yogurt, quark, or summer fruit desserts in no time with our sweet and warming blend.
- For drinks (Tola, Shakti Matcha, Sadhana): Simply mix the spices into your coffee, chai, cocoa, matcha latte, or plant-based refreshments for your daily wellness ritual.
Special highlight – Freshly ground for maximum aroma:
Our coarsely ground spice blends (Vyosha, Lavana, Madhura) are specifically intended to be filled into a spice mill. This allows you to grind them freshly and finely directly over your finished dishes or fresh summer salads. The advantage: The valuable aromas and essential oils remain protected much longer in the coarse spice – and you enjoy the incomparably intense taste of freshly ground, roasted spices with every sprinkle.

Every ALONGA spice blend is formulated to highlight specific flavor profiles and make dishes easier to digest. Here is an overview of how to best use our blends:
- Savory, Warming & Deep – Rasa Masala
Perfect for: Classic Indian and Oriental curries, lentil dishes (dal), kitchari, stews, roasted vegetables, rice dishes, and legumes.
Flavor & Effect: A balanced, deep seasoning that adds body to dishes and makes complex meals easier to digest.
- Aromatic, Savory & Spice Paste Base – Chanda (Curry Leaf Spice Mix)
Perfect for: Rice stir-fries, savory dips, dressing variations, vegetable dishes, and warm main courses. Mixed with a little sesame oil or ghee, it is excellent as a base for fine spice pastes.
Flavor & Effect: Based on real curry leaves, mustard seeds, coriander, and lentils. It brings a unique, slightly nutty, and delicately aromatic depth to savory dishes.
- Spicy, Salty & Fresh – Lavana
Perfect for: Sautéed vegetables, summer salads, vinaigrettes, bowls, baked potatoes, avocado toast, dips (such as hummus or tahini dips), as well as grilled items.
Flavor & Effect: Combines a fine salty note with herbs and spices. Ideal as a finishing touch directly from the mill over finished dishes.
- Aromatic & Digestive Heat – Vyosha (Trikatu)
Perfect for: Heavy or rich meals, hearty soups, root vegetables, dark sauces, and legumes.
Flavor & Effect: The perfect substitute for your classic pepper mill. Provides a warming, spicy note and noticeably stimulates the digestive fire (Agni).
- Sweet, Gentle & Harmonizing – Madhura
Perfect for: Morning porridge, oatmeal, muesli, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, quark, rice pudding, baked bananas, fruit salad, and fine pastries.
Flavor & Effect: A harmonious, sweet-warming composition that is gentle on blood sugar levels and adds a fine Ayurvedic refinement to sweet dishes.
- The Coffee & Beverage Refiner – Tola
Perfect for: Espresso, cappuccino, chai latte, fine hot chocolate, golden milk, or plant-based drinks.
Flavor & Effect: Specially developed to soften acidity and bitterness in coffee, making it easier to digest and adding a fine spice aroma.
- Superfood & Ritual Blends – Shakti Matcha & Sadhana
Perfect for: Warm or chilled plant-based drinks (e.g., oat or almond drink), smoothie bowls, or as a base for your morning focus and wellness ritual.
Flavor & Effect: Shakti Matcha provides gentle, long-lasting energy with a fine matcha note, while Sadhana acts as an grounding blend for inner balance.
Yes, for our spice blends we use exclusively certified organic ingredients – for the purest taste and highest quality.
Vyosha is based on the traditional Ayurvedic formula Trikatu – which translates to "the three pungents." The blend consists of three classic Ayurvedic spices: Pippali (long pepper), black pepper, and ginger.
In Ayurveda, this combination holds a special status:
- Strengthening the digestive fire (Agni): In Ayurveda, Trikatu is traditionally used to gently stimulate digestion, promote nutrient absorption, and reduce a feeling of heaviness after meals.
- Reduction of Kapha & Ama: Due to its warming and pungent properties, the blend helps reduce excess moisture (Kapha) as well as metabolic waste (Ama) in the body.
- Versatile flavor booster: Despite its Ayurvedic roots, Vyosha is by no means just a traditional blend, but an excellent all-rounder in the kitchen. It gives dishes a deep, multi-layered, and pleasantly warming heat.
Usage tip:
Vyosha is fantastic for heavy or fatty meals, legumes, root vegetables, soups, or curries. Since our Vyosha blend is coarsely ground, it is perfect for filling a spice mill. You can use it wonderfully as an upgrade for your classic pepper mill: instead of pure black pepper, you can freshly grind this pungent composition over your food – for significantly more Ayurvedic benefits, better digestibility, and a much more complex aroma profile!
