The new spice on my shelf

Im a chef of over 20 years and this is the first time I’ve tried a blend with Asafoetida or “hing” - It adds a mysterious richness and umami to a dish, like spinach and lentils fried in some coconut oil. I even roasted chicken with it and the flavor is like a new and improved garlic, but without the upset stomach later! I’ll be using this a lot and may have to order a bigger supply!

Fill the coarsely ground spices in a clean and dry grinder. Grind it freshly over your meal and enjoy! Keep in a dry place and avoid grinding it over steaming pots so no moisture comes in.
